NSW: Water inquiry kicks off today in Nowra

The NSW government's water inquiry will hold its first public meeting today .. giving
people from regional centres a chance to have a say on the best way of drought-proofing
areas outside Sydney.

The hearings begin this morning in Nowra .. and will move to 15 towns and cities including
Bourke .. Dubbo .. Broken Hill .. Cowra .. Albury and Tweed Heads.

A final hearing will be held in Sydney on May 20.
