NSW: Firefighters prepare for extreme conditions on Monday=2
The Wattle Grove fire, in Sydney's south-west, is almost contained.
Big backburns overnight were successful along the line from Menai to Lucas Heightsas well as in the northern sector of the Holsworthy military base.
The Blackheath fire in the Blue Mountains is being controlled, with backburning betweenNorth Katoomba and Wentworth Falls overnight.
The road to the Megalong Valley remains closed.
In the Hunter region, backburns near Cessnock were hampered overnight by cold temperaturesand high humidity.
The Scotts Flat fire has threatened rural homes and a shed has been lost.
